Dr. Jen cares for the full range of ages and stages of dogs and cats, from new puppies and kittens to geriatrics, all in your home. Preventive medicine provided literally ‘in house’! Most of her patients are quite excited when ‘Auntie Jen’ rolls through the door with her bag of goodies. They have no idea she’s really The Vet and rarely notice they’ve had a physical exam or injections! The practice has an arrangement with another practice to provide surgical procedures and imaging (radiographs and ultrasound).

Preventive Medicine
Regular physical examinations are essential. We set individual vaccination and parasite prevention plans for your pet according to their activities and discuss what laboratory screening may be indicated as well to monitor organ function as they age.
Behavioural Consultations
Behaviour concerns are one of the main reasons for the surrender of animals to shelter situations. Dr. Jen provides an in-depth consultation, and together we create a three-pronged approach to treat and manage your pet’s concerning behaviours.
Geriatric Care & Management
Health concerns become more frequent as our pets age (just like us!) which may require more frequent visits to manage chronic diseases like osteoarthritis. Our objective is always to help your pet enjoy the best quality of life possible for as long as we can.
End of Life & Palliative Care
Access to in home end of life care is important to many pet guardians. We provide quality of life assessments and in home euthanasia to our clients – we guide you through the process of sending your pet over the rainbow bridge.
Surgery, Dentistry & Imaging
Prairie Mountain Veterinary Services offers full surgical, dentistry, and imaging services through an arrangement with a near-by clinic for the provision of routine surgical procedures (spay, neuter, mass removals), dentistry, and radiology.
